Recurso celebrates its 15 years with its Global Service Program

To celebrate its 15th anniversary, Recurso is once more giving back to the community this summer.

Students from the University of Florida have joined forces to continue with Recurso’s Global Service Program. As International Humanitarians, students from all academic backgrounds including film, photography, science, and medicine will give back to several communities in need in Lima, Peru.

The three-week program will be working with the Department of Health, El Hospital del Niño, and other non–profit organizations for underprivileged children who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.

The second half of the trip will be spent working at an educational center in the shanty town of Villa El Salvador where the children do not have access to education; we will be teaching them about basic health practices and dental hygiene through means of a Youth Leadership and Empowerment Retreat. The trip will take place May 8th to May 27th.
